This decaffeinated coffee is named after the Sidamo province of Southern Ethiopia, the province is famous for the fertile highlands south of Lake Awasa and, of course, for its coffee plantations. With only one harvest late in the year in Ethiopia, the birthplace of coffee, this decaf coffee is fully washed and the result is smallish Arabica beans bursting with flavour.
Decaffeinated Ethiopia Sidamo coffee is renowned for its bright lemon and citrus notes first and foremost, but expect a honeysuckle aroma and a delicate finish with hints of green tea.
Swiss Water Decaf
Our decaf Ethiopia Sidamo coffee is decaffeinated using the Swiss Water Decaf method, developed by the Swiss Water Decaffeinated Coffee Company. The process sees green beans being washed and soaked in hot water to release 99.9% of the caffeine in the beans, the process is completely free of chemicals.
